This initiative, introduced by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai, aims to enhance the efficiency of consular services and eliminate the unauthorized charges often levied by third-party agents. Both entities are now managing these services directly from their offices, ensuring a more straightforward application process for individuals seeking consular assistance.
In a bid to prevent exploitation, officials have made it clear that appointments for these services should be made exclusively through the official online portal. Applicants are warned against paying any intermediaries, agencies, or individuals who claim to facilitate appointment bookings or offer expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.
The missions have further cautioned that any organization or representative purporting to be officially authorized to provide such appointment services should not be trusted. Individuals who suspect they have been deceived, overcharged, or misrepresented are encouraged to report these incidents through the official contact channels provided by the Embassy or Consulate.
Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are advised to depend solely on official communications and verified platforms for information related to consular services. This is to protect against fraud and avoid unnecessary expenses that arise from unauthorized service providers.
