China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, with both nations actively working to maintain open lines of communication and build upon previous agreements. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun confirmed the ongoing dialogue during a routine press briefing, emphasizing the importance of the collaborative efforts to address border-related issues.
The talks come as Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visits New Delhi for the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. During his stay, Wang held a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, underscoring the bilateral focus on maintaining a stable and communicative relationship.
Guo highlighted that the situation along the China-India border is stable, with both countries actively implementing the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks.
